I am the Federal Member for Dunkley, representing the Australian Labor Party. I entered Parliament following the 2024 Dunkley by‑election on 2 March 2024, succeeding the late Peta Murphy. I was honoured to be re‑elected in 2025, reaffirming my commitment to serving our community.
Before entering politics, I spent 35 years working across the community, corporate and philanthropic sectors, driven by a passion for improving people’s lives. I founded and served as Managing Director of the Women’s Spirit Project, a volunteer‑led initiative supporting vulnerable women through fitness, health and wellbeing programs, work that remains close to my heart.
In Parliament, I have served on several committees, including as Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Implementation of the National Redress Scheme and Chair of the Standing Committee on Petitions. These roles allow me to amplify community voices and strengthen systems that support vulnerable Australians.
My priorities reflect the realities facing people in Dunkley: cost‑of‑living relief, better healthcare access, strong skills and training pathways, and housing affordability. Every day, I work to ensure our community has the support, opportunity and services it needs to thrive.
