In a nutshell I love spending time with my family, travelling, proving myself wrong, being active, embracing the seasons + making impossible dreams come true! I have a post graduate in health science but fell in love with hospitality working in a health retreat in the late 1990's. This pivoted me into an event management career with a passion for operations. My last corporate role was at BreastScreen working in operations for their mobile screening. I loved the diversity of working with different local communities. I also have a big love of renovating and building (my husband and I have ticked off 14 to date) ... it was during lockdown in 2020 at our vineyard in Red Hill (which we built 12 years ago) that we bought what is now Cassis. The old restaurant and accommodation was in dire need to reconnect with its past as an artisans home. My two passions collided during this project - my love of people + local community and renovating. It was incredibly challenging taking on a build during lockdown, but we have been lucky to be welcomed with open arms and have been featured in Broadsheet, The Age, The Herald Sun, Visit Victoria, Traveller. We recently got listed in the top 52 weekends away in Australia in Traveller. Cassis continually supports local as our suppliers and we have a long term focus towards being a sustainable business we can be proud of. Thank you to Claire from Butterfly who introduced me WIB MP ... she is our neighbour in business and is a phenomenal woman! I hope that Cassis can continue to showcase what makes our area so special and in turn our guests can support our local community.
