Lisa Walton has 40 years of experience in print media. Growing up on the Mornington Peninsula she moved to Melbourne in her early 20s and took up a position with the Emerald Hill and Sandridge Times, becoming publisher of this and 3 other titles. At 27 Lisa was chairman of Australian Suburban Newspapers Victorian branch. In the late 1980s she established Barfly Magazine and Travelling North, living in Port Douglas and Cairns for 9 years. Returning to Sydney to run On The Street, Australia's first 'street' press. Finally returning to her beloved Mornington Peninsula she established an advertising agency in Frankston before getting back into publishing. Mt Eliza Village was the first magazine she started, followed by Mornington Life which became Mornington Peninsula Magazine. Lisa's love of live music, her passion for the environment and local produce, coupled with her ability to find amazing local people to write about has meant Mornington Peninsula Magazine and her other titles are now a vital part of our community. Lisa's publications support over 250 local charities and groups. Over many years Lisa has established and joined business and community groups and she is delighted to join WiB MP to mentor and support business women on the Mornington Peninsula.
